Chloe Hill, Claudie Cooper and Maddie Blinkhorn-Jones have all left the South East Stars at the end of the regional team’s contracts.

Hill joined the Stars from the Southern Vipers in 2023, initially on loan, before moving permanently for the 2024 season. The wicket-keeper batter played 31 times for the team with a best of 63 against the Northern Diamonds.

Cooper and Blinkhorn-Jones were both part of the South East Stars Academy side before progressing on to make their senior debuts.

Cooper made her debut in 2023, playing five T20 fixtures and taking a best of 3/12 at the Kia Oval as the Stars fell to defeat in a thriller against the Northern Diamonds. The off-spinner made her Surrey debut in 2019, taking 58 wickets across all formats, having been part of the talent pathway since U11s.

Blinkhorn-Jones played seven 50-over matches for the Stars with a best of 77 against the Central Sparks in 2023. Blinkhorn-Jones scored over 700 runs for Surrey’s county side, including two centuries, having also been within the talent pathway at the Club since the U11 age group.

Emma Calvert, Director of Women’s Cricket at Surrey, said “I want to say thank you to Chloe, Claudie and Maddie for their years of commitment to the South East Stars. They have shown their skills and their quality on the pitch as well as bringing so much to the group off the pitch as well.

“Claudie and Maddie have been part of the Stars family for several years and it has been pleasing to see them develop as young cricketers coming through the Academy set up to make their senior debuts. Chloe joined the side mid-season in 2023 and made an immediate impact with her performances on the field and has continued to work hard to develop herself as a cricketer.”

“Finally, I’d like to wish all three the very best for the future.”
